"CARFF's Funfly that's not a funfly"
by David Laux
The CARFF Model Aircraft Club is 3 miles east of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. We were invited to come to a small camp out at the CARFF field by Scott Nelson on the September 4, 5, 6 long weekend. We had good weather and great flying. CARFF has a fantastic facility. Here are some pictures from our weekend. These pictures were taken by Trevor Zaharichuk of Calgary, Alberta.

From left to right, Vicky Zaharichuk, Brent Schooler, my wife and daughter Jennifer and

After the first day of flying the Raptor with no decals, which made it hard to see, Brad
Schooler helped me put decals on my Raptor. Scott Harley supervised, but I was the
brains behind the operation. It was past sunset and getting cool out so Brad had to use
the propane lantern for light and the bonfire for heat to make the decals stick.

We Drag Raced this weekend and he defeated me again, but the next time he
won't win. I have been doing some more tweaking on my OSsxwc. In

Scott's heli was on the far side of the field.
